Ren Kizaki is a novelist who goes by the pen-name of Issei Naruse. A childhood accident confined him to living in a wheelchair. It made him close himself off to other people, and he has been living alone to escape the world's scrutiny. His only human connections are phone calls to his editor at the publishing company and the helpers that come around the house. When Ren heaps abuse on the helpers to vent his frustrations, only one person, Rintaro Maki, is willing to stay and keep a calm attitude. Eventually, Ren gradually opens up to Maki. However, they both have their own secret pasts...
