After witnessing a murder and being spared by the murderer as a child, Chris has been obsessed with playing detective, and researching crimes whenever he can. When Chris goes to college, he is assigned to the same room as Max. Chris finds Max fascinating because he is a lot similar to him. In order to fit in, Max decides to not push Chris away.
